Apply for the 2017-18 Beautillion Militaire Scholarship Program Today

Jack and Jill of America Inc., Indianapolis Chapter and the 100 Black Men of Indianapolis Inc., will host their 32st Annual Beautillion Militaire.  We would like to invite your son/male student to participate in this year’s program. You can find more information on the Beautillion Militaire by visiting the Beautillion Program page. Below, you will find application instructions and a tentative calendar of events. We thank you in advance for your interest.  Because class size is limited, please respond promptly.


To apply, click on the Apply Now button below to begin the online application form. Please allow yourself ample time to fully complete the application. Once you start the application, it cannot be saved. Only COMPLETE applications can be submitted. All applications must be received by 11:59 PM on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Incomplete applications will not be considered. No Exceptions!

During the application process, you will be asked to answer five essay questions. The essay questions are as follows:

  1. Describe your greatest accomplishment?
  2. What leadership skills do you possess and how will these skills benefit your peers during the Beautillion Militaire Program?
  3. Give an example of a personal weakness. How do you think it will affect you as a participant in the Beautillion Militaire Program?
  4. Describe the steps you have taken to prepare your entrance into post-secondary education.
  5. What characteristics must a young man have if he is going to succeed in school, with his family, and with his friends once he has left home for college?

We advise you to prepare your responses to these essay questions before beginning your application to ensure your responses are free from any grammatical errors.

Please note that a mandatory informational session and interviews will take place on the afternoon of September 17, 2017. Logistics information for the September 17th interview session will be sent via email after the application deadline.
